Press Release

Key Stage 4

We would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 students collecting their exam results today; this is a fantastic set of results, and we are immensely proud of what they have achieved. Our high standards of attainment and achievement have been maintained, with success for many students across a broad range of subjects.

Headteacher, Edward Hutchings said: “I am so proud of our students and all that they have achieved; We know our students and their individual stories and challenges, their success is testament to their courage and commitment and the support they have received along their school journey.

The Knights Templar school continues to develop well rounded young people who are prepared for their future. We also recognise and thank our dedicated staff who have worked in partnership with parents and shown such belief in our students. At the heart of our school community are the values of courage, courtesy and hard work, our students have exemplified these qualities throughout their GCSE journey. I look forward to working with so many of them at our Sixth Form and wish all our students every success for the future.”

There are some outstanding individual achievers who do deserve a special mention;

Alex Whiteley achieved eight grade 9’s, one grade 8 and a grade 7, Daisy Carlton achieved eight grade 9’s and one grade 8, Both Izzy Dunstan and Ethan O’Sullivan achieved seven grade 9’s with all other grades at 7 or above. Some incredible results.

Mrs Lester, Head of Year 11, added, "We could not be prouder of all that our students have achieved – their accomplishments are a true testament to their hard work and determination. These results open exciting doors for the future, whether students choose to stay with us for Sixth Form or pursue new opportunities. We look forward to seeing them continue to grow and flourish. To all our Year 11 students, we are incredibly proud of you. You are a credit to our school and an inspiration to those who follow in your footsteps."

Edward Hutchings, Headteacher

This a great school, staffed with passionate, inspirational teachers, and is a special place for our students to learn and grow into the amazing adults they now are.

Our Sixth Form offers a supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally. From a broad curriculum to a rich programme of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, leadership opportunities, and the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals.

They are now looking towards the next stage of their education and careers, ranging from advanced apprenticeships to employment and further study at university.   We have no doubt that the KTS Sixth Form Class of 2026 will continue to achieve well on their post-18 journey.

I am incredibly proud to be the Head of Sixth Form, well done to all.

 Lisa Wells, Head of Sixth Form
